Old Joke..

Joanne made a statement of Facebook about Hollis' comment that life in the Church is work in the Church..so true..There is an old story that applies to both Hollis and T:
Ayoung girl was crying in the cathedral when the parish priest came and sat down beside her. "What is the matter, my child?" he asked.. Sniffling she explained that she had found her soul mate. "But that is good!" said the priest.."NO!" wailed the girl, he isn't catholic!.."Why", said the priest, "That can easily be remedied.. Have him come to catachism classes and join the church.
The girl was ecstatic..and gave a priest a hug and went on her way...
A few months later that same priest found that same girl crying in the church.."What is the matter now? Did he not take the classes and become a member?" "Yes!" she wailed! "Then what can the matter be?" asked the priest> "He wants to be a priest!"

So it was with Hollis.. once he was taught the Gospel, he went into it all the way! No reservations, fully committed!. He was frequently called away from home to give blessing on consel..When he came home from doing the Lord's work he carried a special aura about him. almost a glow..It would be a little while before he was mine again..
.Then it took a little longer for T to recognize that joy lay in the gospel service..but/and as Sis. Aspura said..he loved those around him and spent most of his time trying to help others..Sis. Porter stated that while Relief Society president she always knew that Bro. Raisor, as High Priest Group Leader, would see that hometeachers or bishopric would take care of the sister that was in need. I have a newspaper clipping of Bro. Spence and T at the Bishop's wearhouse..he would volunteer to package orders and deliver them back to Sevierville.

Amazing..they were both taken back home when they lived a Christ-like life..I guess I have more to learn.
